Take the finished opening width at top and bottom — never the size of the door coming out.
Take the height on both sides; warehouse slabs and headers are not always as level as the drawings say.
Record the headroom and side room for the roll and guides, and note dock equipment, seals, and sprinkler lines near the opening.
